



Katelynn Chittenden Johnson
owner, director, head of school, teacher
Since the founding of Montessori Mother in 2017 Katelynn has guided Montessori classes, workshops, and consultations. She also teaches online classes, and has made the Montessori Mother Blog and Podcast.
Katelynn has over 8 years of teaching experience and holds the highest level of qualification for Montessori 0-3 as a certified Assistant to Infancy by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).
She speaks English natively from the United States and is also competent in Russian and Spanish languages. Her specialisation is in multilingual environments and language development.

Chad Chittenden
co-owner, head 3-6 teacher, builder, media coordinator
Chad guides our Montessori Preschool, Early Preschool Classes, and Fathers Meetups at Montessori Mother. He is also a master woodworker and hand-crafts our custom furniture and materials. Finally, he works behind the scenes as a photographer and editor of our podcast and online workshops.
An Alaska man of many talents and languages, Chad is an AMI-trained 3-6 guide, and holds a Masters in documentary film, CELTA teaching certificate & Bachelors in Russian literature. His languages are English (US), Russian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. He is also the husband of director, Katelynn and Montessori father to daughter, Jennifer.

Jandira Tavares
head 0-3 teacher
Jandi has been teaching Montessori Toddler, Baby, and Newborn Classes at Montessori Mother since 2022. She is AMI-certified for 0-6 years old and has a Masters degree in early childhood education. Originally from Uruguay, Jandi speaks Spanish, English, and German. She also holds a Bachelors in Product Design and 7 technical degrees including drama and goldsmithing!
