Hello and welcome!

We’re Annika and Kim, the co-owners of Montessori Mother Early Learning Center. As passionate Montessori parents and trained educators, we are honored to continue growing this peaceful, inspiring space for children and families.

Our journey with Montessori began when we became mothers ourselves. Curious about respectful and developmentally supportive ways to raise our children, we discovered the Montessori approach — and were immediately drawn to its calm, thoughtful, and child-centered philosophy. That curiosity quickly grew into a deep commitment, leading us to pursue professional training and now, this exciting new chapter as owners.

Together, we bring a blend of hands-on parenting, Montessori education, and professional experience — from early childhood development to international work, photography, and community-building.

We’re excited to continue fostering a warm, inclusive space where children thrive and families feel supported.

Annika & Kim

My name is Charisma, and I am truly thrilled to be your guide at The Montessori Mother Early Learning Center.

Growing up in a time when children were free to explore the world fearlessly, my love for the Montessori way of learning began naturally; through curiosity, independence and discovery. That early sense of wonder has stayed with me ever since.

Before beginning this beautiful Montessori journey, I worked as an Associate Operations Manager for a Trade Insurance company covering the Middle East and Africa, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I hold a degree in Communication and Arts, Major in Broadcast Journalism, which has deeply shaped my appreciation for meaningful connection and creative expression.

I have been receiving intensive Montessori training since mid-year, equipping me to guide both newborns and babies, as well as to support parents and guardians in creating nurturing, developmentally rich environment.

Outside the classroom, I am a wife and proud mother of two children, aged 7 and 5, and Montessori principles have greatly influenced my parenting; helping me to create a home filled with calm, independence and joyful learning.

My passions include music, poetry, art and design, baking and cooking; all of which I’m excited to bring into our classroom. Whether we’re creating art, singing songs, or exploring the sensory world through baking, I look forward to sharing these creative experiences with your children.

I can’t wait to learn and grow alongside your little ones this term and to build a warm, collaborative relationship with each family. Together, we’ll make this a joyful and enriching Montessori journey!

Cota, 0-3 Guide

My name is Constanza García, but everyone calls me Cota, and I’m very happy to be part of The Montessori Mother Early Learning Center as a Montessori guide.

I was born in Chile and grew up in Argentina, so I carry a little bit of both cultures with me, although my accent and my heart are very Argentinean. My connection with Montessori began when I was a child myself, as I was fortunate to attend a Montessori and arts-focused school during my primary school years. Looking back, many of the values I learned there have naturally found their way back into my life.

My love for caring for children also started very early. When I was ten, I became the big sister of two little siblings and my mother’s little helper, changing diapers and spending lots of time with babies. Years later, after moving to Berlin, I worked as a babysitter for several years, which only deepened my love for being around children and discovering their unique personalities.

Before Montessori Mother, I worked as a graphic designer in Berlin, including for Médecins Sans Frontières, and I still work as a freelancer on some projects. I discovered Montessori Mother almost by chance in February 2025 while babysitting a little girl who attended the ELC. I was recommended for a music workshop, and after such a lovely experience, I was fortunate to stay and become part of a team of wonderful educators who make the ELC such a special place.

Last year, I completed an online Montessori 0–3 Assistants course with AMI at Montessori Institute Prague. It deepened my understanding of the Montessori philosophy and reinforced the importance of trusting children, encouraging their independence, and giving them space to discover things for themselves.

What I enjoy most about being a Montessori guide is witnessing those little moments when children realise they can do something on their own. I love seeing a child discover an activity and then return to it independently a few classes later. I also find it fascinating to see how much can change throughout a term—from little ones reaching for their neighbour’s snack at the beginning, to patiently waiting for their own turn a few weeks later. With toddlers, watching their independence grow can be especially rewarding; even something as simple as pouring water from a small pitcher into their own glass feels like a big achievement.

Music is another big part of my life. I’m a singer and make music with my husband, and I love bringing this into the classroom through our music circles. I enjoy introducing the children to new instruments, and my ukulele is almost always around. I especially love when parents suggest songs for me to learn and bring to the group.

Outside of work, I love the sea, swimming, nature, painting, and making crochet toys. I’m also a big animal lover and, of course, I’m always creating something. I speak Spanish and English and am currently learning German, which I get to practise every day with the children.

I’m very grateful that a chance encounter brought me to Montessori Mother, and I look forward to continuing to learn alongside the children, celebrating their discoveries, and building a warm and trusting relationship with each family.
