Montessori presentation
In these videos I model how I would show a Montessori material to a child for the first time, or “give a presentation.” You will see that I speak slowly, isolate the words when I say them, avoid moving and speaking at the same time, and change the direction of the presentation depending on where the child would be sitting in relation to me.
These videos are for you to see how to use the materials so you might set up activities at home for your little one, practice how to present them, add them to your child’s environment, and introduce them when the timing is right. If you’re interested in where the materials I use come from, I have included the links below.
extra resources
- Montessori Moments Ep. 11 | Montessori ball tracker
The Montessori Ball Tracker is a very special material. For toddlers it helps them to train their balance as they stand up and down and integrates the left and right hemispheres of the brain as their eyes track the ball across the midline. The object permanence box at the bottom of this model provides an additional point of interest. *filmed at Montessori Mother ELC, 2019
