The Montessori Baby Class is for babies who are crawling, learning to walk, and taking their first steps. It’s a place where babies can grow their independence, mobility, curiosity, and concentration using beautiful Montessori materials available in an environment carefully prepared for each area of their natural development.
To ensure a consistent and optimal educational experience for all children in the class, we require that parents register for the full term.
Baby Classes include gentle child-led play with Montessori activities, a group snack time (for weaning babies), and a music circle at the end of class.
Montessori activities are available on shelves at the child’s level to allow children to follow their natural desire to learn and develop in 10 different areas: fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, gross motor development, communication, critical thinking, music, reading, self care, sensorial learning, and social interaction.
During the class, parents discuss and share practical information about their experience with parenting Montessori-style. Parents receive a themed handout weekly via email of the topic to be discussed in the following class.
*The group is guided in English. German and non-English speaking families are very welcome to attend. This is a great way for babies to be introduced to a new language.
A parent or other caregiver will attend the class with Baby. During the 1.5 hour class, carers are welcome to participate with the children and other parents, use the co-working area, and enjoy a free coffee or tea.
